3 Acres Wedding Photography Huddersfield | Nainita & Tom
3 Acres Wedding Photography Huddersfield. Nainita & Tom’s wedding was my first at The 3 Acres and it was a beaut! I started off the morning with Nainita at her parent’s home where she was getting ready with her family (most of whom hid from me, as usual. Actually more than usual this time!). Her make up by Lyma Liime was flawless and I loved her beautiful floral crown by Parkfield Florists. Once Nainita was dressed (when I finally got to snap her elusive sister/bridesmaid – you can’t hide from me forever!) we had time for a couple of photos of the beautiful bride-to-be before I nipped off to the church in Emley for a few detail shots of the church and to capture Tom & the boys greeting their guests before the ceremony.
The classic English drizzle started when Nainita arrived and carried on throughout the (very emotional!) ceremony. Big thank you to their wonderfully laid back and hilarious vicar who kept everyone laughing, and let me wander freely during the service! Thankfully a break in the rain meant that the guests could all head outside for a few quick “hello”s and some family photos outside the church. After which I foolishly agreed to make my way up to the top of the church tower to get a shot of everyone on the lawn. “14th century spiral staircase plus two ageing wooden ladders with all my camera gear you say? Sure, why not?!”. Never again! 😀
Nainita & Tom then left the church in a flurry of confetti and we all headed over to The 3 Acres for drinks before the wedding breakfast. At which point the heavens opened again, of course! Once everyone was safely inside and dry I left the happy couple to chat away with their guests whilst I photographed everything set up for the wedding breakfast. Make sure to check out their gorgeously detailed cake by Joanna Rose!
The rain showed no signs of letting up so I grabbed Nainita & Tom for a few indoor portraits in the doorway and the wonderfully bright and airy porch (there’s ALWAYS somewhere!). Then it was in for the speeches (I just about held myself together throughout!) and I left everyone to enjoy their meal. And enjoyed one of my own 😀
At last the rain stopped and the sun came out so we finally managed to make use of the lawns all around the venue and, as you’ll probably notice, I do love a dry stone wall! Just like that the evening guests were arriving and it was time to boogie!
Big thank you to Nainita & Tom for trusting me to capture their wedding day. And I even forgive them for my new fear of church towers, and the rip in my trousers from getting up there! 😀 x
