An Autumn Wedding at Goldsborough Hall | Eleanor & Matt
An Autumn Wedding at Goldsborough Hall. The last weekend in October saw me back at one of my favourite venues, Goldsborough Hall near Knaresborough. The morning started off crisp and bright (if a little windy!) and the grounds at Goldsborough were full of autumn colour.
Eleanor was getting ready with her bridesmaids in one of the beautiful bridal suites overlooking the gardens. Catherine Elizabeth and her team were in charge of hair and make up for the whole squad and were hard at work when I arrived! As Eleanor was having the final touches to her hair I nipped over to the church to get a few detail shots and to capture some of the guys arriving.
Then it was back to the Byerley Suite (definitely got my steps in again!) in time to see Eleanor giving her lovely bridesmaids some gifts (including Matt’s daughter who looks so much like him, sorry Maisie!) and then it was dress time. And this dress was a beaut – Jovita TS from Blue by Enzoani. Once everyone was ready we all made our way down the stairs where Eleanor’s dad was waiting to walk her around to the church.
After the ceremony Eleanor, Matt and I exited the back of the church for a few photos. I left them to have a couple of minutes alone together whilst everyone else made their way out to the front for confetti and then we all walked back to Goldsborough.
The guests headed inside for drinks in the library and I kept Eleanor and Matt out in the gardens for more photos. The weather seemed to be taking a turn for the worst so we whipped through some group photos and then took shelter inside for the rest of the drinks reception.
The Orangery looked amazing as always, with centrepieces by Fleur Adamo and cake by Matt’s mum! A couple more photos on the staircase and it was time for the wedding breakfast.
I rejoined everyone later on for the speeches (nobody wants to see photos of themselves eating!) and cake cutting. Matt was definitely done with the photo side of things by this point but I did manage to get Eleanor back to the staircase for a shot of the back of her dress 😀
After a little break the library was ready for the evening reception which started with a pretty competitive bouquet toss and then Eleanor and Matt took to the dance floor for an expertly executed waltz!
Huge thank you Eleanor & Matt for trusting me to capture your wedding! Here are a few of my faves…
