Bolton Abbey Village Hall Wedding | Lizzie & Tim

Bolton Abbey Village Hall Wedding. This was my last wedding before Christmas and it was one of those perfect winter mornings – crisp, clear, bright and frosty!

I met up with Lizzie and her friends and family in Addingham, including her two gorgeous flower girls and page boy (who even managed a quick nap – jealous!). I spent an hour or so with them capturing everything that was going on and a few details, I especially loved the bouquets and floral crowns by Beamsley Blooms. I then popped over the road to the pub 😀 Not for quick Gin (my lightweight status is well-known!) but to meet up with Tim where he was grabbing a pre-wedding nerve-settler with his groomsmen and a few guests.

I made my way back to the cottage to see the flower girls and then Lizzie donning gowns, and since we were ahead of schedule (amazing!) we had time for lots of lovely photos in the courtyard before I left for the church.

The ceremony took place at St. Peter’s Church in Addingham which is a beautiful church surrounded by so much green space. Their vicar was very laid back and told me when I arrived that she was happy for me to move around a bit so long as I didn’t get in the way. Which was very kind and which I don’t! I opted to capture Lizzie’s walk down the aisle from the balcony at the back of the church, which meant I could see Tim’s reaction too, and then tiptoed to the front of the church for the “I Do’s”.

After the service I stopped Lizzie & Tim in the church doorway for a couple of pics and then let them say hi to everyone before they were bombed with confetti.

We all made our way to Bolton Abbey Village Hall for the reception where drinks were waiting. It was fairly late in the day for a winter wedding and we were racing against the light a bit so I jumped straight into the couple shots with Lizzie & Tim when we arrived. Followed by a few group photos (as you can imagine folks were super happy to come outside into the freezing cold and away from their free booze hahahaha!).

We all finally made our way inside to warm up and so I could capture the guests having a great time and grab some shots of the tables all dressed for dinner.

Speeches were before the meal – great if you want to get rid of the nerves so you can enjoy your food – and then I left them all alone to chow down.

Whilst the room was being changed up for the first dance I coaxed Lizzie & Tim into the cold for a couple of quick shots under the festoon lighting, and then it was time to party!

Big thanks as always to Lizzie & Tim for having me along!
