Cheshire Wedding Photography | Tori & Guy

Cheshire Wedding Photography. Argh, these guys! I first met Tori & Guy at Biba & Matt’s wedding, which I photographed in 2016. I was over-the-moon when Tori got in touch and asked me to come down to Cheshire to shoot her wedding to Guy. Turns out we used to live pretty close to each other back before my return to Yorkshire (where I belong, I’m afraid!), plus she has a Dachshund – winner! 😀 The months leading up to their wedding were beyond stressful for Tori and Guy, and I have no much admiration for them for pulling everything together and staying so strong. Legends!

The Great Heat wave of 2018 seemed to be on a bit of a hiatus for this pair’s big day, but the rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits (no pun intended!). I spent a lovely couple of hours with Tori and her bridesmaids and her home out in the Cheshire countryside, capturing all that was going on in the mad house (my favourite kind!). Once everyone was ready there was time for a few photos and then I made my way to the church in Tarvin for the ceremony (incidentally the village where some of my bestest besties grew up, hi ladies!).

I got a few shots of the church and beautiful floral displays by Fiona from Fifi Boutique Bespoke and then waited at the bottom of the path for Tori to arrive.

My favourite part of the ceremony was definitely when Tori’s dad forgot that he’d only done half a job by walking her down the aisle, and merrily went to sit down without actually “giving her away”! Oh and I also enjoyed making the newlyweds kiss for a second time even though I’d already gotten my shot, just to mess with Guy J

After the service Tori & Guy waited in the church entrance to greet their guests and then exited through a confetti tunnel, ready to head off to Guy’s family farm for the reception. A family friend had loaned them his beautiful Jaguar for the journey, though I don’t think they’d quite factored in the size of Tori’s Jesus Piero gown. Not very graceful but it did make for good pics! 😉

The clouds were gathering once we arrived at the farm so we quickly got a few shots of Tori & Guy outside the farmhouse and some group photos in the gardens before the heavens opened and we all piled in to the marquee. Which looked AMAZING! Fiona Brunt had worked her magic and the place was filled with beautiful flowers, greenery, moss and succulents – perfection!

It wasn’t long before everyone was asked to take their seats and Tori & Guy were called in to great cheers and applause! Speeches were before the food and were absolutely wonderful. That perfect combination of hilarious and emotional – full marks to everyone! After diner the cake was cut and the band began for the first dance. Which I know Guy was particularly looking forward too, hehe 😉 I stayed around to capture some of the dance floor action (and there was a LOT of action!), and then made my way back to rainy Yorkshire.

Hugest of huge thank you’s to Tori & Guy for trusting me to capture your amazing wedding day, it was a real honour and an absolute joy!
