Crab and Lobster Wedding Photographer | Jo & David
Crab and Lobster Wedding Photographer. This was my last wedding of 2016, and what a way to end the wedding season! Just look at that glorious beech tree behind Jo and David above. Autumn is probably my favourite season (with the exception of bluebell time!) and I loved all of the colours and tones these guys had chosen, from the bridesmaids dresses to the pumpkins on the tables and the amazing bouquets by Kate Mell.
I met up with Jo and the girls at The Angel at Topcliffe for a few detail shots (check out the gold glitter shoes!) and some more informal ones of everyone getting ready. Annabel Bailey was in charge of hair and make up, and Jo’s metallic eyeshadow looked amazing!
When everyone was ready we headed outside for some photos in the garden, and then I left the girls to relax for a bit whilst I headed off to The Crab & Lobster to meet up with David and to capture the guests arriving. Then it was time to take our places in the conservatory for the ceremony, and we excitedly awaited Jo’s entrance!
It was surprisingly warm considering the time of year, so after the ceremony everyone managed to get outside for a few drinks before we started the group photos and confetti bomb at the front of Crab Manor. I left everyone to relax for a bit whilst I walked down to The Pavilion to photograph everything set up for the wedding breakfast. The Crab & Lobster is such a cool and quirky venue, and the main house and The Pavilion are both crammed full of the most amazingly bizarre assortment of, stuff! There is a lot of red and orange in the Pavilion which went perfectly with the seasonal arrangements Jo and David had chosen for the tables.
I then made my way back up to the main house and grabbed Jo and David for a stroll around the grounds and some relaxed shots of just the two of them. I love the gardens at The Crab & Lobster, there’s so many great locations for photos. And it looked extra good at this time of year with all of the autumn leaves still on the trees.
Then it was time for the speeches and the wedding breakfast, after which the room was quickly turned around for the evening reception and first dance.
And that’s it, 2016 blogged! Huge thank you to Jo & David, and to all of my lovely couples for trusting me to document their big day this year. And to all my 2017 couples, I can’t wait! x
