Hazlewood Castle Wedding Photographer | Katie & Simon
Hazlewood Castle Wedding Photographer. Katie & Simon had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Hazlewood Castle in the scorching July sunshine! The whole place was decked out with the amazing flowers in shades of cream and pale blue, by Zara from Floral & Lace.
I spent the morning with Katie and her bridesmaids at Hazlewood where they were getting ready in a BOILING hot room. Happily I was free to wander, ha! So I could escape the heat to get some shots of the pagoda set up for the ceremony, and also managed to nip and see Simon finishing getting ready in one of the other rooms at the hotel. Mike from Swanland Photo & Film was their videographer for the day and together we also managed to get Katie’s dress outside for a shot under the trees. Not just so we could get a bit of a breeze, honest! It looked great too 😀
The ceremony took place in the pagoda under the under cherry trees, and then we all followed the newlyweds around to the back of the hotel for drinks and photos on the terrace. After a quick confetti bomb and some more “formal” photos I left everyone to chat for a bit whilst I photographed the Great Hall set up for the wedding breakfast, with more beautiful floral arrangements by Zara & Lace. Some of my favourite flowers this year actually!
Then we had a bit of time left for a few shots of Katie & Simon before the receiving line. We decided to leave most of these for later when we had a bit more time, and the temperature had dropped a bit! Speeches were before the food and were brilliant, maybe one of my favourite best man/men speeches to date!
After dinner the cake was cut, and then Mike and I took Katie and Simon for a walk around the grounds and out into the woodland for some more photos before it was time for the first dance.
Big thanks as ever to Katie & Simon for booking me to photograph their wedding! If you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding at Hazlewood Castle please do get in touch! X
