Utopia Wedding Photography
Becky & Sam’s wedding at Utopia at Broughton Hall near Skipton was definitely my wettest wedding of the year (so far at least!). Even Percy, Broughton Hall’s resident peacock, wasn’t happy about the weather and took shelter with us at Utopia for most of the day. Which was unfortunate for Becky as she’s not really a bird person (that might be an understatement, haha!). I think we managed about 20 minutes outside before the heavens opened again, but that ended up being plenty of time to get some lovely portraits in the grounds. Plus it meant that becky got to make use of her bridal brolly – I must have “just-in-case” item for a UK wedding if you ask me!
Becky & Sam’s wedding was really relaxed and chilled out from start to finish. There were only about 20 guests during the ceremony, and afterwards they all enjoyed afternoon tea (which I got to sample, I love my job!). There were no speeches or first dance, which was quite a change for me and meant that I got to spend more time on the more informal shots of Becky & Sam and their guests enjoying their day (and drinks!).
I’ll leave you with some of my favourite images from the day… x
Oh, and I do like to mention other suppliers (when I remember hahaha!), so if you’re looking for a florist then Becky’s beautiful flowers were by Allie at Alice & Rose Floral, and if you’ve got a sweet tooth I highly recommend macarons, and the delicious ones photographed below (if you keep on scrollin’) were handmade by Lynne at Medici Macarons. And the big heart is from Typical Type!
