Wedding Photographer at Goldsborough Hall | Victoria & Ed.
Wedding Photographer at Goldsborough Hall. Victoria & Ed were married on one of those perfect autumn days – cool, crisp and sunny. Maybe a little too col for Victoria!
I joined Victoria and her mum in the Royal Suite at Goldsborough where they were having their hair and make up done by the amazing Lauren Rippin – I’ve probably said it before (several times!) but I love Lauren! Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a make up artist and/or hair stylist for your wedding.
After a quiet start the flower girls arrived and kicked things up a notch! The room got much busier and noisier which is always fun! The ceremony was to take place at St Mary’s Church which is perfectly located just next door to Goldsborough Hall, so I nipped over to get some shots of the church before the guests arrived. It looked beautiful with pew ends and urns by The Rarified. The boys arrived just before I left so I grabbed a few shots of them before making my way back to the Royal Suite to see Victoria get dressed. I especially love the shot of the flower girls peeking in as Victoria was being done up!
Then it was time for me to leave Victoria to the final touches and I went back to the church to wait for her to arrive.
The ceremony went off without a hitch (except one terrified flower girl who clearly wanted to run in the opposite direction when confronted with a church full of people!). Victoria and Ed walked back up the aisle and out of the front of the church with me for a few photos whilst everyone else headed to the back. I let them have a couple of minutes alone and then they exited at the back to great cheers and applause.
We all walked around to the hall for a quick confetti shot on the steps and a few family photos. Everyone was freezing by this point so Victoria, Ed and the guests headed in to the hall to grab a drink in the Library.
Meanwhile I headed to the Orangery which was set up for the wedding breakfast. It looked incredible (as always!) and I absolutely loved the centrepieces by The Rarified – perfect autumn colours and I loved the huge Dahlias!
I spent some time capturing candid shots of the guests and then grabbed Victoria and Ed for some shots of the two of them in the late afternoon sun! It was bloody freezing but they soldiered on valiantly and the grounds looked incredible with all the autumn colours out.
Just before Victoria turned completely blue with cold we made our way bak inside for the speeches. I knew Ed was mega nervous but he needn’t have been as he absolutely nailed it!
Dinner was served next so I left everyone to eat in peace and came back for the cake cutting. Before long we all moved through to the Drawing Room for the first dance. I stayed for some shots of the party in full swing and then left them dancing away to the amazing Chris Hilton’s Little Big Band!
Thank you Victoria & Ed for trusting me to capture your wedding!
