VICKY & KIERAN // I spent last Saturday at Thicket Priory with this gorgeous pair and their wonderful friends & families. The day absolutely flew by, but at the same time it felt like we had loads of time for photos thanks to the very generous 2 hour drinks reception (yes please!) — which made such a difference and meant the whole afternoon never felt rushed.

The forecast had threatened rain all afternoon, but somehow we got very lucky and it held off right until everyone sat down for the wedding breakfast. Perfect timing!

Also… the wisteria 💜 Vicky and I share a mutual obsession with it, so discovering it was still just about blooming around the back of Thicket Priory felt very meant to be. We were both too excited!

There were also a few wedding firsts for me during this one… mini pie and pint canapés from Hog & Apple, a “first beer pull” instead of cutting a cake, and an unexpected mid-drinks reception arm wrestle which Vicky very proudly won.

Thicket Priory is such a beautiful venue. The bridal suite is stunning, the staircase is always one of my favourite spots to photograph, and the lake creates the perfect backdrop for a quiet moment away from the crowds. The staff are amazing too — endlessly helpful and a genuinely lovely bunch to be around.

The speeches were brilliant — five in total from both dads, Kieran, maid of honour and best man. A perfect mix of funny stories, emotional moments and slightly questionable anecdotes. And a butternut squash.

The evening finished exactly how every wedding should — a completely packed dance floor, with an impromptu conga line appearing out of nowhere ✨

The kind of wedding where everyone’s outside in the sunshine all day because somehow April decided to behave like July ☀️

Lorna & Chris absolutely lucked out with the weather, but honestly the atmosphere would’ve carried the day anyway. Just loads of laughter, colourful flowers, good people and a very full dance floor by the end of the night.

Also still not over the purple suit.

R&Z // Back at The Tithe Barn for a wedding day full of good people, belly laughs, sunshine and absolute scenes on the dance floor.

My morning started at the Devonshire Arms with Ruby and her bridal party getting ready before heading over to the Tithe Barn, where the whites and greens in the flowers looked ridiculously good against all the aged wood and fairly lights. Zach fully committed to the look too — brown suit, green tie with lions on. 10/10 for them both 👌

We got the dream weather for terrace drinks overlooking the abbey, and I loved that they ditched the usual round tables for the wedding breakfast and went for two long trestle tables instead. It made everything feel so relaxed and together.

There were FIVE speeches split across before and after dinner (bold behaviour) and every single one was a huge hit!

Then the evening turned into absolute chaos in the best way thanks to the ceilidh band. No traditional first dance — instead everyone got dragged into one giant swirling chain of people charging around the barn and it worked SO well! Instantly got everyone involved and set the tone for the whole night.

WHAT a day! Expect to see more of these two...
