Yorkshire Family Photographer. My aim for any family photography, baby photography or maternity photography shoot is for you to spend a happy and chilled-out hour or so laughing and having fun, with me there to capture you guys as you are. I'll provide some direction on where to stand/sit, and I have a few tricks for getting the most of of your little ones, but what I really want is to photograph you guys interacting and just being together. Newborn shoots are a little more guided, but I still like to keep things really relaxed; lots of cuddles with mum and dad, plus I always try to get some of your little one on their own.
What Should We Wear?
I don't have strict rules on what to wear, but I do recommend avoiding logos or recognisable cartoon characters - they tend to steal focus! Lighter colours can brighten up the photographs, and for family shoots it's great if you can all wear an item in a similar colour, as it can really help bring you all together. For newborns and older babies at home I love light/neutral baby-grows and vests. But these are all just suggestions; the most important thing is that you're comfortable, and that you feel like yourselves! For more tips please visit visit my What to Wear Guide on my blog.
When Will We Receive Our Photos?
Your online gallery will be ready within 3-4 weeks of the shoot date, with all edited images in colour and black + white. Image numbers can vary depending on family sizes (and often the behaviour of the little ones!), but I typically provide 40+ images. You'll also receive your images on a beautiful USB with personal printing rights, which I'll post to you.

The forecast looked questionable all week, but somehow we got the loveliest soft light all through the drinks reception, enough time to properly wander around Thicket Priory for photos, and only got the rain once everyone was safely inside for dinner. Couldn’t really have timed it better ✨

IMY & ASH // One week 🩷
Last weekend`s wedding at Thirsk Lodge Barns was one of those days where everything just seemed to fall into place. ☁️✨
I started the morning with Imy and the girls getting ready in the farmhouse, while my second photographer, Lissa, joined Ash and the guys just up the road. Ash and his groomsmen looked very smart in their pale blue suits - perfect for such a summery wedding.
The ceremony barn looked incredible, with Allie from Wild Floral Couture filling it with beautiful flowers in soft pastel shades. It was so lovely to be working alongside her and some of my other favourite suppliers again too, with Lottie Haigh on hair, Jess & Laura from Faces on make-up.
The weather couldn`t have been much better - warm enough to enjoy being outside, a lovely breeze to keep everyone comfortable, cloud cover for most of the day, and then the sun making a perfectly timed appearance in the evening. Imy & Ash`s gorgeous baby girl stole plenty of hearts throughout the day too, and everyone was treated to some seriously delicious food from Nomad Catering before the celebrations carried on into the evening.
Such a relaxed, happy day from start to finish. Congratulations again, Imy & Ash! ❤️
