Yorkshire Wedding Photography, highlights from another corker of a year. Every year I tell myself I’m going to keep my annual roundup to 100 photos this time, but every year I manage to get it to 150 and then give in!
My 2024 wedding season started off slow with just a couple of weddings in the first quarter of the year. But things soon ramped up in May and kept on coming! It felt like it rained a lot last Summer but when looking back through all my weddings I can see we had some amazing golden hour light too. I also had an usually busy November with 4 gorgeous weddings to shoot, which was great for me as there was still some colour in the autumn leaves, and I actually love it when the nights draw in and the jumpers come out.
As I write this I’m sending out the most enormous thank you to everyone who booked me for their wedding in 2024, and who has booked me for this year and beyond. Juggling a business and family life isn’t always easy, but I never take for granted how lucky I am to be able to be my own boss and to fit a lot of my work around childcare. Looking back over the year brings me so much joy; one of my favourite things about looking through photographs will always be their ability to take you back to a moment and relive it. I’ve loved living and re-living all of these moments with my couples and their friends and family. There were so many more photos I could have added, and it’s hard to say why sometimes. It could have been the light or the colours, the joy or a tear, or because I know when looking at the photo that whatever was happening meant something to the people in it.
Or it could have been because there was a dog…
Enjoy scrolling my 2024 highlights, and roll on 2025! x
