R&Z // Back at The Tithe Barn for a wedding day full of good people, belly laughs, sunshine and absolute scenes on the dance floor.

My morning started at the Devonshire Arms with Ruby and her bridal party getting ready before heading over to the Tithe Barn, where the whites and greens in the flowers looked ridiculously good against all the aged wood and fairly lights. Zach fully committed to the look too — brown suit, green tie with lions on. 10/10 for them both 👌

We got the dream weather for terrace drinks overlooking the abbey, and I loved that they ditched the usual round tables for the wedding breakfast and went for two long trestle tables instead. It made everything feel so relaxed and together.

There were FIVE speeches split across before and after dinner (bold behaviour) and every single one was a huge hit!

Then the evening turned into absolute chaos in the best way thanks to the ceilidh band. No traditional first dance — instead everyone got dragged into one giant swirling chain of people charging around the barn and it worked SO well! Instantly got everyone involved and set the tone for the whole night.

WHAT a day! Expect to see more of these two...

Kilts, bagpipes, spring flowers everywhere, the warmest April Saturday imaginable, a ceilidh that absolutely went off and two people who are somehow very good at being photographed whilst insisting they aren’t.

SALLY & JACK // A perfect May wedding day from start to finish!

Sally & Jack were married at Woodlands Hotel outside Leeds this Bank Holiday weekend and it was a dream! The ceremony and wedding breakfast took place in the orangery, which was filled with light, and it all felt relaxed from the very beginning — their little boy exploring the room and periodically coming back to join them for a quick hand hold or to play with Sally`s veil 😆

At the end of the ceremony, Jack’s mum had arranged a surprise recording of their son singing Can You Feel the Love Tonight to be played. It completely caught them off guard, and there wasn’t much chance of keeping it together after that — not for them, not for their guests, and DEFINITELY not for me (or Christian from Ainsley Wedding Films - always a pleasure to work with!).

After we all recovered ourselves Sally & Jack walked back out together through a shower of confetti, before taking a bit of time for themselves whilst everyone spilled out onto the terrace for drinks in the sunshine. The newlyweds soon joined us to huge cheers and it was on with the rest of the day — that lovely just-married feeling settling in properly.

And then later into the evening there was a packed dance floor, with Limp Bizkit playing early doors (their little boy’s favourite track!), and that was it… the tone set for the rest of the night.

LORNA & CHRIS //

I spent my Saturday at the wedding of these two legends, at the gorgeous Falcon Manor in Settle ☀️

One of those days that just clicks straight away. No awkwardness, no fuss — just a room full of people who were completely up for it and clearly adore these two. Lorna & Chris are such a fun pair, the kind of couple that make everything feel relaxed from the off.

The morning had such a calm, happy feel to it — loads of space, loads of light, and everyone just enjoying it rather than rushing through it.

I loved Chris` purple suit and black shirt combo, and the flowers by Berries Florist in Skipton brought all the colour. It all felt really bright and full of life, which matched the day perfectly.

Also… that weather. In April?! Full sunshine, actually warm — my first suncream use of the year!

And then the evening… Lorna changed into a second dress, the dance floor filled straight away, and it quickly became clear there are some big Fall Out Boy fans in that room (yes please!). Exactly the kind of energy you want.
