Saturday at The Manor House Lindley with Katie & Alex 💜

The forecast had other ideas for the day, but for the second time in a week we somehow managed to dodge the rain and even saw some blue skies instead!

So many lovely moments stand out from this gorgeous wedding. Katie was helped into her gown by both her mum and Alex`s mum before sharing an emotional reveal with her bridesmaids. A special mention has to go to maid of honour Lily, who has known Katie literally her whole life after their parents met at ante natal classes!

One of the most emotional moments came when Lily`s dad walked Katie down the aisle. There genuinely wasn`t a dry eye in the room. Alex definitely wasn`t holding it together either ❤️

Katie`s favourite colour is purple, so we absolutely lucked out with the azaleas blooming at the bottom of the drive. They made the perfect backdrop for some portraits before we headed over to the Coach House for the iconic bar photo.
The speeches struck that perfect balance too – hilarious one minute, emotional the next.

A huge thank you to Matt Sim, who joined me as second photographer and spent the morning with Alex and the lads in the bar before the ceremony kicked off.

Yesterday with Chloe, Jack, and the real VIP of the day... Ernie the British Bulldog! 🐶

After spending most of the week checking weather apps and preparing for a day of rain, Wharfedale Grange had other ideas. The rain disappeared by morning, the sun came out, and although the wind definitely made itself known, it turned out to be a pretty perfect day.

Chloe started her morning getting ready in the farmhouse before heading across to the prep suite in the barn. After a short and sweet ceremony, everyone headed outside for confetti before settling into a glorious two-hour drinks reception. Plenty of time for catching up with friends and family, enjoying some incredible canapés, and sneaking off for a few photos.

We attempted some photos with Ernie in the farmhouse garden. Attempted being the key word. He had far more important things to do than sit still for photos and was determined to burn off every ounce of energy he had. After taking a wander around the grounds for some portraits of just Chloe and Jack, and with the wind making life interesting, we kept the group photos inside the main barn (got protect those `do`s!).

After Jack`s speech, everyone tucked into more amazing food before the biggest surprise of the day... Chloe and Jack announced to all their guests (and me!) that they`re expecting a baby 👶❤️ Not a dry eye to be seen! A cocktail hour, a packed dance floor, and one very happy photographer later, their wedding day came to an end.
