Yorkshire Newborn, Baby, maternity & Family Photography
Children change so fast. One minute they're this wriggling, hiccupping, rib-kicking little ball safe inside your tummy, and the next they're here and screaming bloody murder if you even think about putting them in their own cosy bed. They quickly transform into a babbling bundle of squidgy folds and chubby smiles, and then before you know it they're off and you never sit down again! I know from watching my own little girl change that although the days can sometimes (i.e. more often than not!) seem so very looooooooong, the years go fast and it's so wonderful to be able to look back through photographs of her and see her grow.

Oh, and you'll probably notice that there are a lot of baby photography galleries. The changes that little ones go through in their first year of life are incredible, it's no wonder they're often so grumpy and fussy! So I've created a few different collections to show you what you can expect from a baby shoot with me at each stage. One of my favourite things is when a family books me for a series of shoots over their baby's first year, so that I get to watch their newest addition grow. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION.
I always recommend doing newborn shoots (with babies up to 4 weeks old) at your home where you're familiar with your surroundings, and you don't have to worry about getting yourselves and a newborn baby dressed and out of the house on time! My newborn sessions are best descried as lifestyle shoots - no props, no tiny costumes, just lots of lovely natural photos of you guys and your latest edition cuddled up together at home.
For older babies 3 months and above the choice is yours - I've done plenty of older baby shoots, maternity shoots and even full family shoots both at clients' homes, or in outdoor locations. We are very lucky here in Yorkshire to be spoilt with so many gorgeous places for photos so if you don't have a particular place in mind then just ask as I have loads of recommendations in and around Leeds (such as Roundhay, The Hollies, or the city centre), York (Museum Gardens, Rowntree Park, or the Minster perhaps?!), Harrogate (Valley Gardens and Harlow Carr are both perfect), Ilkley (the moors or Middleton Woods), and further!

SIAN & ANGUS //
What a day we had on Saturday!
The Goldsborough Hall gardens looked glorious in that rogue burst of summer — none of us were ready for it but no one was complaining! Angus and his family & friends did Scotland proud, with kilts and tartan everywhere you looked, plus a bagpiper welcoming guests.
Their ceremony took place in the drawing room, and later it was into the orangery for the wedding breakfast — both spaces filled with the dreamiest florals by River & Rose 😍
They’d both deny it I`m sure, but Sian & Angus are absolute naturals in front of the camera. No fuss, no overthinking — just the two of them being themselves, which is always when the magic happens.
We nipped out in the evening for a wander through the bluebells and blossom, found the dreamiest little spot — plus a field of very curious lambs keeping an eye on things 🐑
And then… the ceilidh which turned out to be an absolute belter! Traditional tunes mixed with modern songs, everyone fully committing — exactly what you want.
