Yorkshire Newborn, Baby, maternity & Family Photography
Children change so fast. One minute they're this wriggling, hiccupping, rib-kicking little ball safe inside your tummy, and the next they're here and screaming bloody murder if you even think about putting them in their own cosy bed. They quickly transform into a babbling bundle of squidgy folds and chubby smiles, and then before you know it they're off and you never sit down again! I know from watching my own little girl change that although the days can sometimes (i.e. more often than not!) seem so very looooooooong, the years go fast and it's so wonderful to be able to look back through photographs of her and see her grow.

Oh, and you'll probably notice that there are a lot of baby photography galleries. The changes that little ones go through in their first year of life are incredible, it's no wonder they're often so grumpy and fussy! So I've created a few different collections to show you what you can expect from a baby shoot with me at each stage. One of my favourite things is when a family books me for a series of shoots over their baby's first year, so that I get to watch their newest addition grow. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION.
I always recommend doing newborn shoots (with babies up to 4 weeks old) at your home where you're familiar with your surroundings, and you don't have to worry about getting yourselves and a newborn baby dressed and out of the house on time! My newborn sessions are best descried as lifestyle shoots - no props, no tiny costumes, just lots of lovely natural photos of you guys and your latest edition cuddled up together at home.
For older babies 3 months and above the choice is yours - I've done plenty of older baby shoots, maternity shoots and even full family shoots both at clients' homes, or in outdoor locations. We are very lucky here in Yorkshire to be spoilt with so many gorgeous places for photos so if you don't have a particular place in mind then just ask as I have loads of recommendations in and around Leeds (such as Roundhay, The Hollies, or the city centre), York (Museum Gardens, Rowntree Park, or the Minster perhaps?!), Harrogate (Valley Gardens and Harlow Carr are both perfect), Ilkley (the moors or Middleton Woods), and further!

EMILY & MARTIN // These guys got the golden weather window on Saturday at The Chevin Hotel – warm, dry, and not a thunderstorm in sight (despite the dramatic skies we’ve all been side-eyeing for weeks).
These two already have the sweetest little family – their son and daughter totally stole the show a few times, as kids do – and the whole day just felt full of love, laughter, and that lovely "we`ve already built something beautiful together" kind of energy.
Emily wore the most incredible Martina Liana gown with custom sleeves from Joana Bridal in Harrogate – that train though 😍 – and I got to work alongside the always-lovely Simon Manning on video (dream team vibes).
After dinner, we nipped up to the Chevin for a few windy portraits – big laughs, wild hair, and a train that absolutely had its moment.

Laura & Sam 🌸☀️💍
Another scorcher of a wedding last Saturday at the beautiful Hooton Pagnell Hall – though the heatwave did take a quick tea break and gave us a cheeky bit of rain in the afternoon (cue a mad dash for cover!).
Laura & Sam tied the knot at the gorgeous All Saints Church on site, then celebrated on the lawns outside the hall – with drinks, canapés, laughter, and even a bit of mini golf (Laura’s gran is 85 and still showed everyone how it’s done 💪).
Their lovely pup Winnie made an appearance for photos straight after the ceremony (yes, I got very excited), and Laura and I had the best time flower-spotting around the grounds. Speaking of which, her bouquet by @tweedlefloraldesign was an actual dream.
I also got to reunite with one of my past brides who was a bridesmaid – which always feels a bit like catching up with an old friend. Everyone was just so kind and joyful all day long. What a crew 💛
