Sun Pavilion Wedding Photographer Harrogate | Haley & Benjy.

Sun Pavilion Wedding Photographer Harrogate. Haley & Benjy are the sweetest couple! We hadn’t met prior to their wedding since they live in the US but we got on straight away and had the most wonderful day.

The Great Heat Wave of 2018 was already underway and we were treated to beautiful weather all day long. I joined Haley in Leeds city centre where she was having her hair and make up done by the fab Rachel O’Dell. Her closest friends arrived not long after and soon the room was full of noise and laughter (and matching onesies!).

Meanwhile my lovey second shooter for the day Lissa was capturing Benjy and the guys at his parents home in Boroughbridge, and then they all made their way to Harrogate to finish setting up and wait for the guests to arrive.

It was quite a long (and hot!) journey to The Sun Pavilion from Leeds, so once Haley’s hair and make up were finished the girls packed up their stuff and headed to Harrogate to sneak Haley into the venue to get dressed!

The ceremony was wonderfully personal and took place outside on the terrace. After the “I do’s” Haley & Benjy walked back up the aisle in a flurry of confetti (which works really well, if your venue allows it!) and everyone enjoyed a drink before we started the group photos.

Whilst Lissa was capturing the guests I wandered inside to get some shots of the Sun Pavilion set up for the wedding breakfast.It’s an amazing space with the most incredible art deco glass roof and so much natural light! The centrepieces were simple arrangements of white hydrangeas by Horticouture.

Then it was time to take Haley & Benjy for a walk around the Valley Gardens for a few photos of just the two of them. The Valley Gardens are the PERECT place for this! Endless great locations, especially in the spring when the flowers are in full bloom. These two were complete naturals and we got loads of lovely shots before heading back up to the venue for the wedding breakfast and speeches.

After dinner the sun started to set so we quickly grabbed Haley & Benjy for a few more photos in the golden light that we photographers are obsessed with! Before long it was first dance time and we left everyone to party.

    Although I’m based near Ilkley I cover all of Yorkshire and I’m actually happy to travel anywhere for weddings and portrait shoots.
