Goldsborough Hall Wedding Photography | Sharon & Chris

Goldsborough Hall Wedding Photography. Back at one of my favourite wedding venues! Goldsborough Hall is a beautiful 17th Century mansion on the outskirts of Knaresborough. It’s owned by two of the loveliest people you could hope to meet who obviously take great care of the building and it’s beautiful gardens.

I joined Sharon & the girls in the bridal suite where preparations were well under way! The lovely Becca Hunton was taking care of Sharon’s hair and make up and we spent a good 10 minutes trying to decide how we knew each other before we remembered it was at Deborah & Simon’s wedding just a few weeks before – my memory is not what it was pre-baby! 😀

Whist Sharon was still mid make-up I popped down to see everything set up for the ceremony – I hadn’t seen a ceremony in the Princess Mary Room before so I was excited to see how it looked. It didn’t disappoint! Sally from Serendipity Floral Designs and Cristel from Shindig! Event Styling had decked it out perfectly.

I headed back up to the bridal suite in time to see the final touches being applied to Sharon’s hair and make up, and the girls then (very unusually!) had a bit of time to relax and have a drink before getting dressed. I’d heard that Chris had arrived so I nipped back downstairs (definitely got my 10,000 steps in!) to catch him and the guys for a couple of photos before it was time for Sharon to get into her dress.

And then, ceremony time! The light in the Princess Mary Room was beautiful and the ceremony itself was lovely; really relaxed and full of emotion! Sharon & Chris walked back up the aisle and we all headed onto the steps outside for a quality confetti tunnel – apologies to any guests in heels who struggled on the grass on that massive slope. You braved it valiantly! 😀

After a few drinks and a chat with their guests we whipped through some group photos (short and sweet this bit, always!) adn then I let them have a bit of a breather whilst I went inside for some detail shots. Sharon & Chris’s wedding was my first at Goldsborough since the addition of the new orangery so I was really excited to see it finally finished! It’s a beautiful space, really light and airy and a total blank canvas for you to make your own!

The gardens at Goldsborough are full of great photo spots, so I grabbed Sharon & Chris for a quick spin around the grounds before everyone headed in for the wedding breakfast. I left them alone for that part and got some food of my own in the library (it’s a hard life!) and joined them again for the speeches -one of my favourite parts of the day!

A quick cutting of the cake and everyone was ushered through to the library for the first dance and PARTY!

Thank you Sharon & Chris for making me a part of your wedding day! x

I live near Ilkley with my slightly* nutty 9 year old Rose, and I have had the honour of photographing weddings and families for 11 years now. I genuinely cannot believe how lucky I am that I get to call this my job.

*she once told me that traffic lights are the bane of her life, and she went through a phase of naming everything "Cantameen". Send help!

I love photographing people. Whether it's your wedding day, you're expecting or have just had a baby, or you simply want to capture your loved ones the way they are right now, my aim is to document unique moments in time to create a beautiful set of images that you will treasure for many years to come. My style combines photojournalism with beautiful portraits, and my fun and relaxed approach makes you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera – I want you to actually enjoy having your photograph taken!

Although I’m based near Ilkley I cover all of Yorkshire and I’m actually happy to travel anywhere for weddings and portrait shoots. So if you have any questions then please get in touch using one of my contact forms. In the meantime, grab a cuppa and browse through my wedding or portrait galleries, or take a look at my most recent work on the blog.

I can't wait to hear from you x
