Orangery at Settrington Wedding Photographer | Camilla + Joe.
Orangery at Settrington Wedding Photographer. Camilla and Joe were married at Settrington Church and then celebrated with friends and family at the Orangery next door. The Orangery at Settrington is a beautiful place with so many amazing spots for photos – we were spoilt for choice!
I joined Camilla and her bridesmaids and family at the cottage on site where her preparations were nearly complete and they were about to tackle their own makeup. Camilla’s gorgeous nieces and nephew were there too, causing a little mischief but mostly being as good as gold!
There was such a happy calm and relaxed atmosphere in the cottage all morning and the time just flew by. Once makeup was done I managed to nip over and get some shots of the church whilst Camilla and the girls relaxed for a bit. Then it was time for Camilla to get into her amazing Pronovias gown which fit her perfectly. She looked incredible! The rest of the bridesmaids were allowed in to see her and were completely blown away! They all gathered around to fit her veil and then we headed downstairs for a few photos. Raphi and Phina were nearly ready and made the most adorable page boy and flower girl – bit obsessed with Phina’s tutu and Converse combo!
I made my way to the church to see Joe and to capture some candid shots of him and the guys greeting the arriving guests. Once everyone was inside Camilla and her entourage left the cottage and walked up the path to the church. It was a beautifully bright and sunny day with clear blue skies and the leaves were just starting to turn.
I nipped inside to take my place at the end of the aisle and wait for Camilla to make her entrance. Which she did with effortless style and the hugest smile on her face – she has one of those smiles that lights up the whole room! Safe to say that Joe was impressed! After the service Camilla and Joe walked back up the aisle and out into the sunshine. They made their way to the back of the church for some time alone whilst everyone else exited, grabbing a handful of confetti.
Once everyone was out Camilla and Joe came back through the building and through a Guard of Honour before being confetti-bombed down the path. We all walked around to the Orangery for drinks and canapés on the lawn – a rare treat for the time of year! We went through the group photos (with expert guest herding from best man Will), and then I whisked Camilla and Joe off around the grounds for some shots of the two of them. Which they made ridiculously easy! They were so relaxed with each other and ignored me completely which was just what I wanted! After 15 minutes or so I had to reign myself in and let them head back to their guests. Meanwhile I went inside to capture the Orangery set up for dinner. It looked beautiful with the most amazing autumnal centrepieces by Minnie Bees – the colours and textures were perfect and the seasonal fruit and veg were fab!
I spent a bit of time capturing some candid shots of everyone enjoying their drinks in the sun and then it was time to head in again for the speeches and cake cutting. After dinner Camilla and Joe got the evening reception started with their first dance and after a few songs I left him all partying too The Mojos!
Thank you Camilla & Joe for asking me to capture your wedding, I had an amazing day! If you are planning a wedding at the Orangery in Settrington and are looking for a photographer please do get in touch – I love this venue! x
