My Best Wedding Photographs of 2025 – Best Yorkshire Wedding Photography (and a Bit of Cake)
Ahhh 2025. What a year. One of those “I need a sit down and a cup of tea to process this” kind of years – but in the best possible way. Looking back through my favourite images for this post, I’m reminded just how lucky I am to do this job and call it my actual, real-life career. This blog is a round-up of my best Yorkshire wedding photography from 2025, and honestly, it’s been a belter.
This was the year I turned 40 (rude, frankly). Instead of pretending it wasn’t happening, I leaned fully into it. I travelled abroad, explored more of the UK, ate my body weight in good food, and generally tried to say yes to things that made life feel a bit bigger. That energy definitely fed into my work. In total, I photographed 34 weddings and 40 family shoots, which is equal parts joyful, exhausting, and a very strong argument for decent shoes.
As a Yorkshire wedding photographer, I’m ridiculously spoilt when it comes to venues. In 2025, I was back at some of my all-time favourites – places that feel like second homes at this point. The Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey, Goldsborough Hall, and Rudding Park featured heavily, and I loved every single return visit. Knowing a venue well means I can focus less on logistics and more on what actually matters: real moments, good light, and couples being fully themselves.
That said, new venues always bring a little extra buzz. This year I had the pleasure of photographing weddings at The Hovels at Harewood House, Hooton Pagnell Hall, and Alexander Weddings. New spaces = new creative sparks, and I’m very into that.
One of the standout highlights of the year happened in August, when I photographed my first ever fully vegan wedding – held at an animal sanctuary. And yes, it was exactly as brilliant as it sounds! The rings were delivered by Bunny, a disabled sheep, who took her role as ring bearer extremely seriously and absolutely stole the show! As someone who’s vegan and completely animal mad, photographing a wedding like this was super special for me. It was thoughtful, ethical, emotional, and genuinely unforgettable – the kind of wedding day that reminds you how powerful it is when couples do things their way (and include sheep).
Being a wedding photographer in Leeds and across Yorkshire means I get to meet the best people, witness huge life moments, and document stories that actually mean something. It’s an incredible job, and I don’t take a second of it for granted – even when I’m editing at midnight with a cold cup of tea next to me.
I’m already nearly booked for 2026 and very excited to be heading back to The Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey many, many times (honestly, I should probably get my own parking space). These 2025 highlights reflect a collection of my favourite moments, but they also show my style of wedding photography – relaxed, honest, emotive, and focused on telling the story exactly as it felt. Enjoy!
