Bowcliffe Hall Wedding Photographer | Rachel + Stuart.
Bowcliffe Hall Wedding Photographer. My first wedding if the new decade! Rachel & Stuart were married at the awesome Bowcliffe Hall on a windy Saturday in January. Rachel wasn’t keen on photos of her and her bridesmaids getting ready so I met up with Stuart & the guys at Bowcliffe about an hour before the ceremony. An unusually late start for me – I was so restless in the morning that I nipped to Homebase for paint before heading over.
I got a few shots of Bowcliffe and the ceremony room set up before Stuart arrived. We did a couple of group photos and then waited for the guests to arrive. Once everyone was seated Rachel could make her way from the carpark where she was hiding! She looked beautiful in her Enzoani gown – check out that train! Whilst she chatted to the registrar I snuck in to take my place at the top of the aisle.
Soon it was time for Rachel to make her entrance – a moment she’d both been looking forward to and dreading I think! She glided down the aisle towards Stuart who looked suitably impressed. It was a lovely ceremony which seemed to pass by in an instant, and with three great readings which I hadn’t heard before – quite a feat!
After the ceremony Rachel & Stuart walked back up the aisle and were pelted with confetti before making their way to the main staircase for a group photo of everyone.
It was pretty toasty inside with the heating on and all those people so I took Rachel & Stuart on a quick walk around the grounds for a few photos of just the two of them. They were more keen on the candid shots of their friends and family than the ones of the themselves so after 10 minutes or so we went back inside to round up some relatives for a handful of family photos.
Rachel & Stuart then headed to the bar to grab a drink and say some hello’s. I nipped in to capture some of the details of everything set up for the wedding breakfast, and spent the rest of the drinks reception in the bar too, trying to blend in!
Before long everyone took their seats for dinner. Rachel & Stuart had opted for no speeches and instead got everyone involved in games and a quiz between courses which was a lot of fun. After dinner there was a bit of a break whilst the room was changed around for the first dance and evening reception. I snuck around the bar trying to stealthily capture Rachel & Stuart with their evening guests and then it was time to party. And this crowd really knew how to do that!
Massive thanks to Rachel & Stuart for trusting me to capture their wedding. I never would have believed the year that followed. Sometimes I still don’t! If you’re planning a wedding at Bowcliffe Hall please do get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. Meanwhile here are some of my favourites…
