Toria & Alex’s Classic Wedding at The Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey.

Cripps Tithe Barn Wedding Photography. Toria and Alex’s July wedding at The Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey, was everything you could want from a summer celebration—elegant, full of laughter, and surrounded by stunning scenery. Despite the cool weather for mid-July, the day stayed dry and the venue, with its beautiful rustic charm, set the stage for a truly magical celebration. Here’s a look at how Toria and Alex’s perfect day unfolded.

Getting Ready

Toria began her day at The Tempest Arms in Elslack, surrounded by her bridesmaids and mum. The atmosphere was calm yet full of excitement. Toria looked absolutely stunning even before getting into her dress. In a glamorous bridal dressing gown, she sipped prosecco from a champagne glass, radiating elegance and beauty. Her makeup was done by the talented Charlotte Wilson, one of my favourite MUAs.

The atmosphere was full of joy as Toria slipped into her classic, elegant gown—simple, yet breathtaking. Her bridesmaids helped her get ready, and there was a beautiful moment when her cute page boy arrived, adding a touch of adorable charm to the morning. We then invited Toria’s dad in to see his daughter all ready to go, a precious moment full of emotion. Christian Ainsley from Ainsley Wedding Films was also there to capture the day, and I was excited to catch up with him since I’d worked with him at Emily & Michael’s wedding the year before at Rudding Park.

The Ceremony at The Tithe Barn

By the time Toria arrived at The Tithe Barn, Alex was ready and waiting. The barn, with its stone walls and rustic beams, provided the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. Toria walked down the aisle looking every bit the graceful bride, and Alex’s face said it all—he couldn’t have looked prouder. The ceremony itself was sweet and intimate, with everyone feeling close and connected in the beautiful space.

Afterward, we headed outside for confetti, with fresh petals filling the air. The Tithe Barn is such a versatile venue, offering a stunning setting both inside and out.

Drinks Reception and Photos

Following the ceremony, guests gathered for the drinks reception while we got to work on group photos. We also managed to steal some private moments with Toria and Alex at the front of the barn in front of my favourite sage green doors. The weather was cool, but the atmosphere was warm and relaxed, and we decided to save the rest of the couple’s portraits for after dinner so they could enjoy time with their guests.

Dinner, Speeches & Dancing

When it came time to get everyone seated, Toria and Alex made an unforgettable entrance. They danced down the aisle between the tables to cheers and laughter, guests waving napkins in celebration. It was a fun, spontaneous moment that perfectly reflected their joyful energy.

Dinner was served, and the speeches followed. Alex, no stranger to public speaking, was first up. His speech was a mix of humor and heartfelt words, getting plenty of laughs from the crowd. The best man followed with some hilarious stories, before Toria’s dad took the floor, delivering a touching and emotional speech that had everyone reaching for their tissues.

Photos & First Dance

After the speeches, we headed outside for more photos of Toria and Alex in the field at the front of the barn. The views of the barn and the rolling Dales around them were breathtaking, and it was the perfect setting for capturing some intimate moments between the couple.

Back inside, it was time for the all-important cake cutting and first dance. The moment was magical, with the couple surrounded by their friends and family, and from there, the dance floor quickly filled. I love getting party shots, and this wedding didn’t disappoint. The energy was electric, and it was clear that everyone was there to celebrate Toria and Alex.

A Day to Remember

Toria and Alex’s wedding at The Tithe Barn, Bolton Abbey, was a beautiful blend of elegance and fun, with personal touches throughout the day. From the sweet ceremony to the lively party that followed, it was a celebration of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. It was an honor to be part of their special day, and I’m sure they’ll treasure these moments for a lifetime.
