Wedding Photography in Yorkshire | Best of 2022
Wedding photography in Yorkshire. Another mad whirlwind of a year! I don’t think I’ve managed to catch my breath since mid 2021 when the world of weddings opened up again.
I shot 48 glorious weddings in 2022; some were 2020/21 postponements and some were fresh bookings that came in during a time of great uncertainty for the wedding industry (and me!) and brought me so much hope and happiness. I am overjoyed to say that in September 2022 I shot my final Covid-postponed wedding for a gorgeous couple who waited an extra 27 months for their big day. We got there, whoop!
2022 saw me back at some of my very favourite venues, including The Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey, Goldsborough Hall, East Riddlesden Hall and Rudding Park. I also discovered some new venues like The Oakwood at Ryther and Holmfirth Vineyard which I can’t wait to get back to!
As has become tradition I’ve rounded up 150 of my favourite moments from the year in one place. And as has also become tradition I spent hours trying to whittle it down to just 150! From confetti faces to sunset portraits; in gale force winds and warm summer breezes. I saw tears, full body hugs, speech-induced cringes and full on belly laughs. Oh and plenty of dogs too – happy days!
Thank you so much to my fantastic second shooters and associate shooters for working so hard for me as always. And of course a massive thanks to every one of the amazing couples who trusted me to capture their wedding this year (whether you intended it to be this year or not!). I had an absolute blast with you all! Keep heading down for my 2022 Highlights – first in slideshow form and then in scrollable format for a closer look! And if you’d like to travel back in time you can take a look at my other yearly roundups here!
