Daffodils and A Spring Heat Wave for Becky & Matt’s Wedding at Goldsborough Hall

Goldsborough Hall Wedding Photographer. I can’t believe the weather we had for Becky & Matt’s wedding at Goldsborough Hall, it was so warm and sunny it could have been June! I was really looking forward to catching up with these guys again after they’d been maid of honour and best man at Fiona & Lewis’s Tithe Barn wedding a couple of years before, and guests at Hannah & Harry’s wedding at Priory Cottages in October 2021.

Hair & make up was well underway when I arrived, and it was lovely to work with Evangeline MUA again – I highly recommend her! The room was full of laughter, especially when the 3 flower girls arrived. Meanwhile the lovely Lissa who was working with me joined Matt & best man Lewis at Becky & Matt’s home in Leeds.

Before long it was time for Becky to get dressed and then I grabbed some photos of her heading down the stairs to see the registrar before the ceremony. The ceremony took place in The Drawing Room which looked amazing full of fresh blooms by the lovely Kate Mell. Vows were made and rings were exchanged and then it was back up the aisle as husband and wife and out into the glorious sunshine for a confetti blast. We whipped through some family photos and then let Becky & Matt have a bit of a break whilst Lissa got some fab candid shots of everyone enjoying the drinks reception and I got some detail shots inside the Orangery. The Orangery at Goldsborough is a beautiful room, so full of natural light.

I then nipped back out to finish of the group photos with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, and then took Becky & Matt for some photos in the grounds. With it being late march and me being florally obsessed I obviously made a beeline for the daffodils. Despite a few nerves these guys were complete naturals and we got loads of great shots before heading back over to let Becky & Matt check the orangery set up. Soon the guests were called in to be seated so we snuck off to the greenhouse for more photos in the late afternoon sun. I bloomin’ love a greenhouse and much thanks to Becky for happily sitting on the spiders hidden in the sofa!

We made our way back for Becky & Matt to be announced for the wedding breakfast and then food was served. Lissa and I were treated to a delicious hot meal as well, so thank you to Becky & Matt for that! The risotto is amazing. Speeches were up next and they were all fantastic. I’d seen Matt’s best man speech at Lewis’s wedding so it was so nice to see things the other way around as well, such an honour – I love my job!

We had a bit of downtime then before the evening reception so I took Becky & Matt out for a few more photos before we lost the light and then it was time for the cake to be cut and the first dance to be danced.

Massive thank you to Becky & Matt for asking me to capture their Goldsborough Hall wedding. It was an honour and such a treat to catch up with everyone! If you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding at Goldsborough Hall then please do get in touch – it’s one of my faves!

I live near Ilkley with my slightly* nutty 9 year old Rose, and I have had the honour of photographing weddings and families for 11 years now. I genuinely cannot believe how lucky I am that I get to call this my job.

*she once told me that traffic lights are the bane of her life, and she went through a phase of naming everything "Cantameen". Send help!

I love photographing people. Whether it's your wedding day, you're expecting or have just had a baby, or you simply want to capture your loved ones the way they are right now, my aim is to document unique moments in time to create a beautiful set of images that you will treasure for many years to come. My style combines photojournalism with beautiful portraits, and my fun and relaxed approach makes you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera – I want you to actually enjoy having your photograph taken!

Although I’m based near Ilkley I cover all of Yorkshire and I’m actually happy to travel anywhere for weddings and portrait shoots. So if you have any questions then please get in touch using one of my contact forms. In the meantime, grab a cuppa and browse through my wedding or portrait galleries, or take a look at my most recent work on the blog.

I can't wait to hear from you x
